The Philadelphia Phillies scored seven runs in the first two innings on Wednesday and hammered the Braves by the score of 10-5. The win finished off a sweep of the Braves and improved the Phillies to 32-38, four and a half games behind the Washington Nationals in the National League East. The Phillies pounded out 18 hits and had six players with at least two hits, despite playing without Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Ruiz and Ben Revere. Rollins and Ruiz were given the day off and Revere was out with a sore knee, but did appear late in the game as a pinch hitter.

Revere pinch hit in the eighth inning an grounded out. There is no word whether or not Revere will be in the starting lineup when the Phillies begin a four-game series against the Cardinals tomorrow. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow and is listed as day-to-day.

Revere is in his fifth Major League season. He hit his first career home run this season and is batting .282 with nine RBI and 20 stolen bases. He's only drawn six walks, leading to a weak on base percentage of .300.  Revere is a career .284 hitter with 90 RBI and 116 stolen bases.
