I reported on June 10 that Guyer, who was placed on the disabled list with a hairline fracture in his left thumb, had his cast removed on Jun 9 and X-rays showed that the fracture is completely healed. He played catch and took some swings and was hoping to return to the Rays by the middle of the month.
Guyer played in a rehab game on Sunday and Matt Staton, writer of Mind Over Matt-er blog, tweeted the following results on that game.
Brandon Guyer is 1 for 3 with 3 runs scored and 2 walks #RaysGuyer is batting .262 with a home run and six RBI in 61 at bats this season. In 109 career at bats, Guyer had a batting average of .229 with four home runs and ten RBI.
