Arenado, who suffered a broken left middle finger on May 23, will have X-rays taken on Thursday in Denver.
According to head athletic trainer Keith Dugger, Arenado should be "pretty close to healed, if not, we'll get him out of the splint and start doing some movement and baseball activity."As for Gonzalez, his stitches from surgery on his left index finger should be removed in close to six days. With the resurgence of veteran slugger Justin Morneau this season, the return of Gonzalez and Arenado could give the club the push it needs to get back in the hunt in the highly competitive National League West. The Rockies currently sit 34-38, nine games back of the division leading San Francisco Giants.
