Rockies Injury Update: Troy Tulowitzki exits with leg injury

Troy Tulowitzki of the Rockies left Friday night’s game in the ninth inning due to an apparent leg injury, according to Henry Schulman of SF Gate. He singled off of Sergio Romo and limped down to first base. Charlie Culberson pinch ran for the ailing shortstop.

UPDATE: According to Thomas Harding of, Tulowtizki suffered a toe injury on his right foot in ninth inning. X-rays negative.

Tulowitzki has battled injuries all his career, but has played 64 games this season. He has a line of .356/.449/.662/.1.111 with 17 home runs, 43 RBI, 36 walks, 38 strikeouts, and 53 runs.

In 2013, Tulowitzki had a slash of  .312/.391/.540/..931 with 25 home runs, 82 RBI, and 72 runs in 126 games. He committed eight errors at shortstop last year.

Stay tuned for updates as Tulowitzki might need another DL stint.
