Rockies Injury Update: Wilin Rosario scratched

Colorado Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario was scratched from the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers because of an illness. Backup catcher Michael McKenry started in his place and batted sixth. Consider Rosario day-to-day.




This decision came not long after manager Walt Weiss talked about Rosario's bat improving. During the season he has been hit with hand and wrist injuries, as well as a stint on the 15-day DL with the flu.

He came into Saturday batting .234, with five home runs and 22 RBI's over 39 games this season. This is not a big deal, Rosario should be back to start his next game and to make an impact on the Rockies offense and defense.
