By on 7/22/2014 11:00:00 AM

The Los Angeles Angels lost to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday by the score of 4-2. The loss dropped the Angels to 59-39, second in the American League West. Although leading the league in runs scored, the Angels are in the middle of the pack in ERA at 3.78. One pitcher who hopes to help later this second half is left hander C.J. Wilson, who has been out with an ankle injury.

Our own Darius Austin reported on July 11 that Wilson was placed on the disabled list with a right ankle sprain and was expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks.

Alden Gonzalez, who covers the Angels for, tweeted the following update on Wilson.
Wilson, in his 10th Major League season, is 8-6 with a 4.33 ERA in 18 starts this season. Wilson was a relief pitcher during his first five seasons with the Rangers before moving to the rotation.  In 411 career games and 159 starts, Wilson has a record of 81-58 with 52 saves and an ERA of 3.67.
