By on 7/20/2014 11:30:00 AM

The Houston Astros fell to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday by the score of 4-2. The loss dropped the Astros to 40-58, fourth in the American League West. Although the Astros as improving from a year ago, they are still 25th in the league in runs scored and 28th in ERA. Help should be on the way for the pitching staff, as Collin McHugh should return from a finger injury following a rehab start at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Our own Nathaniel Reeves reported on July 12 that McHugh was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a finger injury, retroactive to July 7.

Evan Drellich, who covers the Astros for the Houston Chronicle, tweeted the following update on McHugh.
McHugh,  who played parts of the last two seasons with the Mets and Rockies, is 4-8 with a 3.28 ERA in 14 starts this season. He's allowed only 58 hits in 82 1/3 innings, while striking out 93.  McHugh has a career record of 4-16 with a 5.34 ERA.
