Houston Astros center fielder Dexter Fowler will not be able to play Friday against the Chicago White Sox, reports Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle:
Fowler won’t be ready to go tomorrow manager Bo Porter says. "I think it's straight day-to-day, he's better but he's not ready to play"

After being traded from the Colorado Rockies in December, Fowler has put together a solid season in Houston. He has posted a .270/.377/.396 line in 76 games so far this year.
The Astros had been using Alex Presley as a replacement in center before he went on the DL on July 8 with an oblique injury. George Springer and Enrique Hernandez have received some playing time in center since.
