Our own Raymond Bureau reported on July 15 that Reddick, who was on the disabled list with a strained right knee, began a Minor League rehab assignment.

The @Athletics reinstate OF Josh Reddick from 15-day DL; option INF Andy Parrino to Triple-A Sacramento.Reddick, in his sixth Major League season, is batting .229 with four home runs and 24 RBI in 54 games this season. He had his best season in 2012 when he batted .242 with 32 home runs and 85 RBI. Reddick, who has played with the Red Sox and A's, has a career batting average of .238 with 58 home runs and 202 RBI.
