Bengals Injury Update: Leon Hall cleared to practice

By on 7/25/2014 02:00:00 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals had their first training camp practice on Thursday, with a lot of notable names missing as they work their way back from injuries. But cornerback Leon Hall was cleared to participate as he works his way back from the torn right Achilles' tendon that caused him to miss the final nine games of last season. The 29-year old torn his left Achilles' tendon in 2011, and he hasn't played all 16 games in a season since 2010.

Hall admitted he is not all the way back yet, even with reaching his goal to be ready for the start of training camp, but he has plenty of time to shake any rust off and be ready to go for Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. Even if he is not as effective after two Achilles' injuries in the last three seasons, Hall is still in line to start at one corner for Cincinnati and he should be an important veteran mentor to rookie first-round pick Darqueze Dennard.
