Bills Injury Update: Marcell Dareus, Leodis McKelvin, Mike Williams

By on 7/21/2014 02:00:00 PM

As the Buffalo Bills begin to prepare for the season, they've gotten some news on the injury front. Wideout Mike Williams and corner Leodis McKelvin both appear to be ready to go for training camp, but it looks like Marcell Dareus will miss some time.

Williams battled through leg injuries last year before succombing to Tampa's injured reserve in week nine with a torn hamstring. After undergoing surgery to repair the tear, Williams sat out some of Buffalo's practices this offseason to get ready for his return, but says he's ready to come back.

"I’m fully ready to go," Williams said. "I trained this whole offseason. There was really no offseason for me. I kinda had to get my leg better."

Corner Leodis McKelvin will also rejoin the Bills as they prepare to start training camp. McKelvin underwent hip surgery in the offseason and, according to Bills' general manager Doug Whaley, will be eased back into action.

Marcell Dareus, meanwhile, has been placed on the active/non football injury list. According to CBSSports, Dareus was placed on the list due to failing the team's conditioning test. Dareus is unable to practice while on the list, but can be removed from it at any time.
