Blue Jays Injury Update: Nolan Reimold to DL with calf strain

By on 7/12/2014 03:30:00 PM

The injury bug continues to attack the Toronto Blue Jays as Nolan Reimold is the next victim to head to the disabled list.  Scott MacArthur of TSN Radio 1050 reports that the strained left calf will sideline Reimold and that Anthony Gose will again be recalled from Buffalo to fill in.

After being claimed off waivers earlier in the month and playing in just four games with the club, Reimold is heading to his familiar disabled list spot.  Although he spent much of the start of the year in the minors in Baltimore, Reimold got off to a fast start in Toronto, going 4-12 with three doubles in his first four games.

Anthony Gose, who is viewed as one of the top prospects in the organization, will return to the majors for the fourth separate time this season.  In 44 games, Gose has batted .229 with zero home runs and a .333 on base percentage.

With a team that has been ravished with injuries, losing anyone is not good news for Toronto.
