Canadiens Injury Update: Montreal prospect Tim Bozon recovering after meningitis scare

By on 7/30/2014 03:00:00 PM

Montreal Canadiens prospect Tim Bozon is set to play tomorrow in an "Under-23" tournament in Czech Republic, says Mike Halford of NBC Sports. Bozon was placed in a medically-induced coma in March, as a form of treatment for Meningitis. According to James O'Brien, he had been in critical condition.

Bozon, 20, experienced serious drawbacks regarding his health, resulting from the Meningitis. According to Mike Halford, Bozon had lost weight during his time in a coma. However, in just two months, he has regained his strength and is ready to return to the ice.

Bozon has been playing for the Kootenay Ice, a WHL team, gaining experience before he wears the Montreal jersey. The left-wing had 30 goals and 32 assists in the 50 games prior to his hospitalization.
