Colts Injury Update: LaRon Landry dealing with "soft tissue" injury

Indianapolis Colts safety LaRon Landry is looking to bounce back from a poor, injury plagued 2013. Still dealing with injuries, Landry missed the team's mandatory minicamp with a "soft tissue" injury, reports Mike Wells of ESPN. It was also noted that Landry did not attend any of the voluntary workouts this offseason.

Week 3 of the 2013 NFL season, Landry suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for the next four weeks. Landry later returned to the field but never as the same player he was the first two weeks of the season.

Whether it is a lack of effort, or Landry just constantly being bitten by the injury bug, he is going to need to show his coaches that he's committed to returning at full strength. As of now the Colts are giving Landry the benefit of the doubt, and Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson had this to say about Landry:
He's out there in parts unknown working out. We trust him in the fact that we know he's going to go harder than anyone.
Indianapolis needs Landry to be the veteran leader of their secondary, and in order to that, he's going to have to get back to 100 percent and stay healthy for 2014.
