By on 7/22/2014 07:00:00 AM

This season, Cabrera has a line of .247/.308/.392 with 9 home runs, 39 RBI, 27 walks, 76 strikeouts, and a .699 OPS in 94 games. There have been rumors that the Giants could be interested in him to play second base, so when Cabrera leaves a game, there will be questions about it.

In 2013, Cabrera hit for a slash of .242/.299/.402 with 14 home runs, 64 RBI, 35 walks, 114 strikeouts, and a .701 OPS in 136 games. He had a 1.1 WAR according to ESPN. He will become a free agent after the 2014 season.

It is unknown whether Cabrera will miss an extended period of time, but it could hamper trade talks and cause a problem in the Indians lineup as they try to stay in the race.

We will update you when more information comes out as the Indians stand at 50-49 and 6.5 games behind the Tigers for first place. They are 3 games back of the second slot for the wild card.
