Mariners Injury Update: Robinson Cano out of lineup with hamstring tightness

By on 7/20/2014 08:45:00 PM

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano who has been playing through hamstring issues did not play on Sunday against the Angels as reported by Earl Bloom from MLB.com.

Lloyd McClendon told MLB.com,
"Robby's tight and sore. He asked for a day off, so he's off. It has been a tough grind for him. He's only had one day off in the first half, played in the All-Star Game, traveled. It just makes sense after 28 innings."
The All-Star has been red hot in his last nine games. He is batting .462 with six RBI's. This season he is batting .335 with seven home runs and 57 RBI's.
