The long awaited return of Colorado Rockies pitcher Brett Anderson will finally arrive on Sunday as he will return to the hill to face Twins pitcher Phil Hughes, according to Nick Groke of The Denver Post.
He has not pitched in a major league game since fracturing his finger on April 12th. During his first three major league starts this season, Anderson went 0-2 with a 3.60 ERA. In his two starts before the injury he did not allow more than three earned runs.
During his two AAA rehab starts this season, Anderson was excellent surrendering just one earned run in 9.1 innings pitched.
Although he has suffered through several injuries in his young career, the 26-year-old's return to the mound gives the Rockies some much needed depth. Once viewed as the future of the Oakland A's pitching staff, Anderson has a strong enough repertoire to turn around his career with successful outings in Colorado upon his return.

Brett Anderson will make his return to the #Rockies on Sunday against the Twins. They probably won't activate him until then.
