By on 7/14/2014 06:00:00 AM

The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off a season in which they won 54 games and lost in the Western Conference Semifinals to the eventual NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs. Although first in the league in rebounding, the Blazers were 22nd in the league in points allowed. During the Summer League, the Blazers will look for improvement from center Meyers Leonard, who saw less playing time during his second year in the NBA. Unfortunately, Leonard missed Saturday's game with a shoulder injury and did not play Sunday.

Chris Haynes, who covers the Trail Blazers for Comcast SportsNet Northwest and, tweeted the following on Leonard's status.
Leonard, a 7' 1", 245 pound center, is currently listed as day-to-day. He's buried fourth on the Blazers depth chart at center behind Robin Lopez, Joel Freeland and Chris Kaman.

Leonard, the 11th overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft, averaged 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in just 8.9 minutes per game last season. He saw more significant action as a rookie, averaging 5.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game.
