Twins Injury Update: Oswaldo Arcia sits due to illness

The Minnesota Twins pounded the Colorado Rockies in their last game before the All-Star break by the score of 13-5. The win improved the Twins two 44-50 on the season, fourth in the American League Central. Brian Dozier went 3-for-6 with four RBI for the Twins. Trevor Plouffe and Eduardo Escobar each added three hits in an 18 hit attack. The Twins were without right fielder Oswaldo Arcia, who was out with an illness.

Chris Parmelee started in right field for Arcia and went 2-for-5 with two RBI.  Parmelee is batting .271 with four home runs and 16 RBI for the season.

Arcia, in his second Major League season, is batting .222 with five home runs and 18 RBI this season. He batted .251 with 14 home runs and 43 RBI in 97 games as a rookie last season. The 23-year old from Venezuela has a career batting average of .241 with 19 home runs and 61 RBI.
