Astros Injury Update: Alex Presley still dealing with oblique discomfort

By on 8/16/2014 08:30:00 PM

According to Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle, Houston Astros outfielder Alex Presley will not return Tuesday in New York, as previously hoped.
"He had some discomfort in the cage before they got ready to go and do their work," Manager Bo Porter said. "We're going to back off him and reevaluate that oblique situation." Presley felt pain while warming up for a rehab game with the Tri-City Valley Cats, according to Brian McTaggart.
The Astros previously hoped he could rejoin the team Tuesday in New York, but now it looks like that will have to wait until the team's 10 game road trip is completed. Prior to the injury, he was batting .252, with five home runs.
