Athletics Injury Update: Coco Crisp, Jarrod Parker

After missing seven straight games with neck soreness, Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp returned to action as a pinch-hitter on Monday. Also, starting pitcher Jarrod Parker played catch on Monday for the first time since his Tommy John surgery in March, as reported by Jane Lee a reporter for

Coco Crisp 
The outfielder had neck soreness and it kept him out for seven games in a row. He made his return yesterday pinch hitting for Stephen Vogt in the seventh inning. He drew a walk in his first at-bat and struck out in his second plate appearance. In 81 games this season, he is batting .273 with seven home runs and 32 RBI's. He took batting practice Monday and may be available on Tuesday.

Jarrod Parker
The right-hander played catch on Monday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in March. He threw a distance of 45 feet at the ballpark.
