Bills Injury Update: Kiko Alonso placed on reserve/NFI list

The Buffalo Bills are most likely going to be without Kiko Alonso for the whole season, but there is a chance that he could make his way back. Being placed on the reserve/NFI list gives both the Bills and Alonso something to potentially look forward to, if he is completely healthy and ready to go.

The Buffalo Bills website suggests that it's not a likely scenario he comes back because rehabilitation from a torn acl takes about seven to nine months.

In today's day in age recovering from an acl injury is a lot easier than it used to be, but it's hard to believe that the Bills would allow Alonso to return from an injury like that. He's one of, if not their best defenders. If they allow him to come back early and he re-injures himself, they would further themselves as one of the laughingstock teams in the NFL.

Furthermore, when you look at the Bills defense, you see that there is potential. They have a very solid defensive line. Kiko Alonso and Brandon Spikes are two good linebackers, and then Stephon Gilmore is on the rise in their secondary.

There's potential for the Bills in the future, as long as ownership and coaching don't mess it they have before.
