Bills Injury Update: Sammy Watkins told not to discuss injury

By on 8/25/2014 09:36:00 PM

You won't be hearing much from Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins about his injuries- at least not from him. Mike Rodak at reports that Bills coach Doug Marrone has asked Watkins to keep his personal injury reports to himself for the rest of the season.

Watkins got himself into trouble by telling reporters how optimistic he was about playing in the Bills preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Saturday night. Watkins wasn't in uniform  against Tampa Bay and might also sit out Thursday's preseason finale against the Detroit Lions.

The fourth overall pick in May's draft, bruised his ribs in a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was limited in four practices last week.

Watkins is expected to begin the season as one of the Bills starting wide receivers.

  1. This means nothing to improving the team... it's just another ploy to devert attention from the fact that we have no starting qb and no hope of making the playoffs.
The only way we can get our Bills team back on track to the playoffs is to make the voice of the Bills fan heard where it will be heard the loudest... in the pockets of the greedy NFL.

If YOU keep paying to watch a Bills team that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years... then thats all YOU will ever see... while the NFL laughs all the way to the bank... with YOUR money.

THE Doug Marone/ Nathaniel Hackett/ EJ Manuel Experiment is over and the current Bills management has failed us. We, the Buffalo Bills fans are offically protesting by refusing to pay the NFL to see an inferior football team, which has given our good city of Buffalo and the surrounding subburbs a bad reputation throughout the USA.

    A Bills Fan.
