By on 8/01/2014 11:30:00 AM

According to Matt Carlson of The Associated Press, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya plans to attend training camp in September. Oduya had broken his right foot during the Blackhawks' playoff campaign against the LA Kings.

Oduya, 32, sustained his broken foot while blocking a shot during Game 7 against the Kings. According to Matt Carlson, Oduya played three shifts after the blocked shot, although the Blackhawks lost to the Kings. Oduya has since been recovering, and expects to be able to attend training camp next month.

Oduya played 77 regular season games this season, with three goals and 13 assists, and in 19 playoffs games he had two goals and five assists.
