Blue Jays Injury Update: Brandon Morrow rehab result

By on 8/31/2014 07:30:00 AM

The Toronto Blue Jays moved to a game over .500 at 68-67 following a 2-0 win over the New York Yankees on Saturday. Drew Hutchison and Anibal Sanchez combined to strike out 13 and allow only a single hit. There was also good news on the injury front, as pitcher Brandon Morrow had another successful appearance at Triple-A Buffalo.

I reported on August 29 that Morrow, who has been battling to return from a finger injury, made his first rehab appearance for the Dunedin Blue Jays.  Morrow entered the game for Dunedin in the sixth inning trailing 8-1. Morrow struck out one and did not allow a hit, in a scoreless inning

John Lott, who covers the Blue Jays for the National Post, tweeted the following results on Morrow's rehab start.
Morrow has now made two successful rehab appearances, although there is no word as to how many rehab appearances Morrow will need before returning to the Blue Jays.

Morrow, in his eighth Major League season, is 1-2 with a 5.93 ERA this season. The veteran has pitched for the Mariners and Blue Jays and is 42-42 with a 4.28 ERA
