Brewers Injury Update: Khris Davis out with calf soreness

By on 8/03/2014 09:15:00 AM

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Khris Davis left Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals with left calf tightness, as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and tweeted first by Tom Haudricourt, beat writer for the Brewers.

Davis left Friday's game in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. The calf tightness did not subside and forced Davis out of Saturday's lineup. He has hit a rough patch in his season with hit-less performances in six of his last 10 games.

Davis, 26, is hitting .251/.302/.472 over 100 games and 371 at-bats for the Brewers this season. He also has 17 home runs and 54 RBI's. There is no timetable for return but Brewers fans can only hope that he will back soon to help defend their 61-50 record that puts them in first place in the National League Central Division.
