Broncos Injury Update: Emmanuel Sanders, Chris Harris

By on 8/22/2014 08:52:00 PM

The Denver Broncos had a welcome return to practice on Thursday when wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was on the field. Sanders has been dealing with a quad injury that has left him sidelined. Also corner back Chris Harris is on track to play Week 1 according to a tweet from Lindsay Jones of USA Today.

Harris had knee surgery in February to repair his ACL and has been clear to begin full practice with the team, according to this tweet from Jones:
According to an article by Kyle Montgomery of SB Nation suggests that Harris' injury may have been a main reason that cost the Broncos Super Bowl XLVIII. Harris should come off this injury with full intentions of returning to the big game.

Sanders practiced on Thursday according to a tweet from Jones:
Sanders is looking to come off a pretty decent season last year with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he had 67 catches for 740 yards and six touchdowns. Difference this year is he has Peyton Manning throwing to him.

Harris had 58 tackles and three interceptions in 2013 with the Broncos.
