Broncos Injury Update: Wes Welker engaged in pre-game warmups

The Denver Broncos have been receiving positive feedback from Wes Welker after he was concussed in the team's third preseason game by D.J. Swearinger. Ever since Welker was concussed there's been a lot of outcry from the public on whether he should retire or not. I even chimed in.

Jeff Legwold reported that Wes Welker was going through some routes during the pre-game warmups last night. He also mentioned that Welker had 'multiple evaluations' to go through before being able to play on September 7th vs. the Indianapolis Colts.

Wes Welker has made it clear to everyone that he will not be retiring due to the concussion that he received last week. It shouldn't be a surprise though. Who really expected this guy to walk away from the game he's so passionate about?

Even Taylor Twellman, a good friend of his, couldn't talk him into retiring. So it's simple. Wes Welker is going to continue his career, even if he suffers another concussion or two. That's just who he is. He loves the game too much to walk away.

But there's no way that Welker should even sniff the possibility of suing the league when he finishes his career (not saying he would). It's very clear to this generation of football players what concussions can do to you. So, Wes, it's all on you now.
