Browns Injury Update: Gordon and Burleson questionable to play Monday Night

By on 8/16/2014 06:45:00 PM

The Cleveland Browns may be without a pair of offensive threats against Washington on Monday night. Wide receivers Josh Gordon and Nate Burleson are both dealing with injuries, but Gordon has a shot to play.

In addition to the off-field issues that have plagued him this offseason, Gordon has been dealing with an abdominal injury that kept him out of practice.

Friday, Gordon was seen riding bikes during practice, leading Mary-Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer to report he was not "looking good for Monday."

However, Gordon returned to practice earlier today and according to head coach Mike Pettine, the wideout "has a shot" to play.

The news for Burleson, however, is less optimistic. The former Detroit Lion has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of practice. Pettine said the odds of Burleson seeing the field Monday "were not looking good."
