The Arizona Diamondbacks fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday by the score of 3-2. The loss dropped the Diamondbacks to 49-63, fourth in the National League West. It's been a struggle for the Diamondbacks, particularly on the mound, ranked 25th in the Major Leagues in ERA. Injuries have been an issue too, as 10 players are currently on the disabled list. Some good news on the injury front, as outfielder A.J. Pollock played a full game for Reno on Monday.

Our own Darius Austin reported on August 2 that Pollack, who last played for the Diamondbacks on May 31 due to a hand injury,  was back in the lineup for the AZL D-Backs. He went 1-for-2 with a double before leaving the game in the fifth inning.

An update on Pollock, according to the official site of the Reno Aces, Pollock started in center field and hit second for the Aces in their 4-3 win over El Paso. Pollack played the entire game and went 0-for-5.

Pollock, in his third Major League season, is batting .316 with six home runs and 15 RBI in 52 games.  In 137 games last season, he batted .269 with eight home runs and 38 RBI. Pollock is a career .278 hitter with 16 home runs and 61 RBI.
