Dodgers Injury Update: Hanley Ramirez removed with leg stiffness

By on 8/30/2014 10:15:00 AM

The Los Angeles Dodgers again lost Hanley Ramirez last night as he was removed with leg stiffness.
Ramirez is crucial to the Dodgers success and the hope is that the injury is minor.  Last postseason, when Ramirez was injured, the team's World Series hopes went down the drain.  This October they not only need him in the lineup, but playing at the top of his game.

September looks to be a big month for Ramirez.  The team needs him to be driving to ball to hold on to their divisional lead, but he is in the final year of his 70 million dollar contract so he is playing for his future, too.  He needs to prove that he can deliver and also stay on the field.

When healthy, Ramirez is one of the top offensive run producers in all of the game.  Last season, in 86 games he batted .345 with 20 home runs.  This year he has 13 home runs and 76 RBIs to go along with a .276 batting average.
