After going through an on field workout with Trainer Stan Conte, Conte told Don Mattingly that the shortstop would be good to go. Mattingly then rewrote the lineup, and penciled Ramirez in, hitting second.
The NL West division leaders must be relieved that it isn't a serious injury for Ramirez, as they hope to hold their 3.5 game lead in the NL West. Ramirez is hitting .276/.363/.467 this year for the Dodgers, with 13 HRs and 60 RBIs entering play Saturday.
On a non injury related note, Saturdays game will also be number 1200 of his career.
