Dolphins Injury Update: Mike Egnew out with concussion

Miami Dolphins tight end Michael Egnew is in danger of missing Friday's preseason opener. Andrew Abramson of The Palm Beach Post reports Egnew suffered a concussion during practice Monday.

Abramson reports that the Dolphins are already without tight ends Charles Clay and Gator Hoskins. Clay is recovering from a knee injury. Hoskins has a hamstring issue.

With Clay, Egnew and Hoskins all banged up, the Dolphins re-signed former Penn State tight end Brett Brackett. Rookie tight end Arthur Lynch is also working with the starters.

Egnew's playing status is expected to be in doubt for a while. He is expected to miss multiple practices.

The Dolphins open their preseason schedule against the Atlanta Falcons Friday night.
