Giants Injury Update: Brandon Crawford out with shoulder soreness

By on 8/28/2014 04:45:00 PM

The Giants will play the Rockies today, however they will do so with Brandon Crawford sitting out for a second game in a row. Crawford has been dealing with shoulder soreness for apparently quite some time now, reports Henry Schulman.

Crawford says he's been feeling the soreness more than usual over the past five days, which led to his resting. He's been bothered by this injury for most of the year, including a day off earlier in the year because of it.

The Giants shortstop is hitting .228/.312/.369 on the year. The Giants will let rookie Matt Duffy take Crawford's place in the lineup.
