Giants Injury Update: Odell Beckham returns to practice.

By on 8/12/2014 10:30:00 AM

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham finally returned to practice for individual drills on Monday.

Ebenezer Samuel twitted out on Sunday saying, “Remember Odell Beckham? He will practice tomorrow on individual basis. Progress!”

The word progress is about the most you can say on Beckham’s behalf as he has been on the sideline for every practice since injuring his hamstring in the first workout of camp.

Sport Injury Alert has been keeping up with Beckham’s aggravated hamstring awaiting his return to practice. Even though Beckham only participated with individual drills at practice, it was more than he had done in weeks.

It was reported that Beckham had an impressive one handed catch on the sideline yesterday, where he extended his arm after kicking it into high gear and made the play. That’s great to hear for the Giants organization, as they have been overwhelmed with injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

Jordan Raanan reported the following injuries for the Giants: Fullback John Conner (concussion), tight end Xavier Grimble (hamstring), running back Peyton Hillis (foot), wide receiver/kick returner Trindon Holliday (hamstring), cornerback Jayron Hosley (foot), defensive tackle Mike Patterson (shoulder) and linebacker Jon Beason (foot) also missed practice.

Head coach Tom Coughlin has made it known that he has not been happy with Beckham’s injury, along with the overall health of the team. Coughlin made the comment that Beckham wasn’t full speed on Monday, but was hopeful to get him extended in practice today.

Even though Beckham it’s 100 percent yet, he is defiantly going in the right direction.
