Cleveland Indians outfielder David Murphy was removed from Saturday's game against the host New York Yankees with discomfort in his right side as reported by Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. He was replaced by Mike Aviles. Murphy went 0-for-3 and ended his six-game hitting streak.

The former first-round pick in the 2003 amateur draft has quietly put together a fairly decent year. This season, Murphy is slashing .265/.327/.387 adding seven home runs and 55 RBI's through 108 games with the Indians.
