Orioles Injury Update: Manny Machado exits due to sprained right knee

Manny Machado left Monday’s game against the Yankees due to a right knee sprain. He swung and fell to the ground grabbing his leg. He needed to be helped off the field, according to Brittany Ghiroli of

Machado had surgery on his left knee in the offseason and came back weeks into the 2014 season. He has a lien of .277/.323/.428 with 12 home runs, 32 RBI, 20 walks, 68 strikeouts, and a .751 OPS in 81 games.

In 2013, Machado has a slash of .283/.314/.432 with 14 home runs, 71 RBI, 29 wlaks, 113 strikeouts, and a .746 OPS in 156 games. He had a 6.5 WAR as he was one of the best defensive third basemans in the game.

Machado, 22, had a double in his first at bat before exiting and Chris Davis has replaced him at third base for the remainder of the game.
