Packers Injury Update: Don Barclay and B.J. Raji added to IR

The Green Bay Packers are looking forward to having an exceptional year with Aaron Rodgers hopefully back for the whole year, but they've lost two contributors already. Don Barclay and B.J Raji were placed on IR, which ends their season.

Don Barclay was a strong contributor to the Packers offensive line. He could play just about anywhere on the line, so the Packers are definitely going to miss his versatility this year.

Mike McCarthy had some positives things to say about Barclay: "He's exactly what you're looking for. If you want someone to emulate as a Green Bay Packer football player on and off the field, he's definitely one of your guys."

The loss of B.J. Raji will hurt the Packers in a few ways, although they do have a serviceable reserve in Josh Boyd. Their run defense may be a little more susceptible, but Raji didn't have a great year last year, so who knows how much the impact of him not being out there will be felt.

As we saw last year, though, the only thing that truly matters to this Packers team is that Aaron Rodgers is 100% healthy, and that he is on his A-game. If they can maintain that, they have a shot to win any game.
