Phillies Injury Update: Domonic Brown out with tonsil infection

The Philadelphia Phillies fell to 49-62 on the season following an 11-0 blowout loss to the Washington Nationals on Saturday. The Phillies got two hits from Marlon Byrd and Grady Sizemore, but left seven on base. Cole Hamels takes the mound for the Phillies today as the Phillies try to take three-of-four against the first-place Nationals. The Phillies will be without left fielder Domonic Brown, who is out with a tonsil infection.  

Jim Salisbury, who covers the Phillies for, tweeted the following on Brown.
Grady Sizemore will be in left field in place of Brown and bat sixth in the lineup. Ben Revere will start in center field and bat first.

Brown, in his fifth Major League season, is batting .231 with seven home runs and 50 RBI. He set career highs last season with 27 home runs and 83 RBI., while batting .272. Brown is a career .248 hitter with 46 home runs and 191 RBI.
