Raiders Injury Update: D.J. Hayden, Sio Moore

By on 8/27/2014 07:25:00 PM

The Oakland Raiders are looking forward to facing the New York Jets after their next preseason game, but they'll be without D.J. Hayden. However, Sio Moore should be ready for that game, as long as things continue to progress.

Adam Schefter tweeted out that D.J. Hayden was placed on the PUP list to begin the season, which will allow him to return after week six. He's been dealing with a foot injury all of camp, and obviously it hasn't improved nearly enough to keep him on the active roster to start the season.

Scott Bair reports that Sio Moore, the Raiders starting weakside linebacker, is back to practice after suffering a neck strain vs. Green Bay last Friday. This is great news for Sio Moore and the Raiders, because it appeared that Sio Moore could have been seriously injured at first.

The book on D.J. Hayden has yet to change. He can't stay on the field long enough to be a relied upon player. When hes on the field you see the potential for him to be a good cornerback in the NFL. But you don't see him often enough.

The Raiders have to be second guessing themselves after seeing Hayden hampered by injuries again this season. But it's the Raiders, so who really knows what they're thinking.
