The Rams tweeted a statement from Coach Jeff Fisher:
Jeff Fisher: "I can confirm now that Isaiah [Pead] will be lost for the season. He has torn his ACL." #GBvsSTLPead had his knee buckle while returning a kick during the preseason game with the Green Bay Packers on August 16. This was a non-contact injury, when Pead tried to make a quick turn his knee gave out.

According to Chris Mascaro of SI.com, Pead was competing with rookie Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham for the back-up running back behind Zac Stacy.
Pead was drafted by the Rams in 2012 in the second round. In 2013, Pead had five kick returns for 138 yards.
