Rangers Injury Update: Mike Carp, Alex Rios

Sunday morning, Richard Dean from announced Texas Rangers outfielder Alex Rios would be in the lineup. The right fielder was out of the lineup with a sprained ankle for the past three days. Rangers new first baseman Mike Carp exited the game on Saturday with groin tightness.

It has been announced that Rios will be back in the lineup on Sunday. Manager Ron Washington had this to say on Saturday,
He's playing tomorrow. No questions about it. He told you my thoughts before I even thought it. Definitely tomorrow. Just giving it a rest."
The ankle has been bothering Rios, who sprained it on July 19 against the Toronto Blue Jays. He missed three straight games from July 20-22 due to the injury. He is hitting .293 with four home runs and 45 RBI's in 110 games this season.

Mike Carp
Carp was claimed off waivers from the Red Sox on August 3. He was taken out of the game with left groin tightness, the team announced. Carp is slashing .194/.315/.269 with 10 RBI's in 93 at-bats, he is listed as day-to-day.
