I reported on August 25 that Bogaerts, who was hit in the head by a pitch on August 22, was placed on the concussion disabled list.
Pete Abraham, who covers the Red Sox for The Boston Globe, tweeted the following update on Bogaerts.
Xander Bogaerts (concussion) cleared and will rejoin the #RedSox Saturday.Bogaerts, in his first full Major League season, is batting .223 with eight home runs and 30 RBI. In 18 games last season, he hit .250 with a homer and five RBI. Bogaerts is a career .225 hitter with nine home runs and 35 RBI
