According to Katherine Terrell of Nola.com, Cooks said he felt OK, and the coaches decided to just hold him out. This is the good news for the Saints since it seems that Cooks was just held out for precautionary reasons and could return any day.
The bad news for the Saints is that Stills and his quad injury have been a troublesome issue all training camp and preseason. He's already missed two games from dealing with a quad injury and now it's back again. Stills seemed a little frustrated after the game saying "Not much to say. It's the same injury I was dealing with before," via Mike Triplett of ESPN.
Even if Stills is out an extended period of time, it doesn't look like it will prevent Drew Brees and the Saints from continuing their domination on the offensive side of the ball. In last night's preseason game Brees played one quarter going 9-15 128 yards and 2 TD. Hey, maybe he can play until he's 45 after all. Kidding, kidding...
