Texans Injury Update: Jadeveon Clowney will play Saturday

By on 8/07/2014 07:35:00 PM

We'll get our first look at the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL draft on Saturday.
Dave Zangaro reports on that Jadeveon Clowney will play against the Arizona Cardinals despite missing a few days of practice this week.

Clowney had sports hernia surgery in June. He was practicing on a limited basis, but left practice Saturday.

Clowney returned to the field today and is listed as a starter on the depth chart. Texans head coach Bill O'Brien would not confirm nor deny if Clowney would run with the ones. O'Brien said "We’ll find out when the game starts.”

Zangaro also reports that running back Arian Foster and wide receiver Andre Johnson won't play on Saturday. Both have missed several days of practice because of leg injuries. Foster hurt his leg on July 27 and has practiced just once since it happened. Johnson hurt his hamstring the next day and hasn't practiced since.
