Twins Injury Update: Jordan Schafer in lineup despite wall collision

By on 8/31/2014 06:00:00 AM

Even though Jordan Schafer had a nasty wall collision, he was back in the Minnesota Twins everyday lineup in the 3-2 loss against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.
Most times after a nasty collision like Schafer's teams are cautious because of possible head injuries, but as Twinsights blog reported, Schafer's pain was not head related. Schafer said it was more of a 'whole body' injury than his head being hurt.

This is good news for the Twins outfield the rest of the season.  Schafer has been a spark since coming over to the team.  After a difficult 2013, he has appeared to resurrect his career in Minnesota.

While he may not be much more than a fourth outfielder with the team in the future, he has been a spark in his 22 games with the team this year.  He currently has a .328 average with 10 steals and has been a bright spot in the lineup over the past month.
