Chicago White Sox center fielder Adam Eaton left Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers with a bruised lower back. The injury was caused by crashing into the right-field wall at full speed, as reported by Doug Padilla from ESPNChicago.com. Daryl Van Schouwen tweeted that the X-rays were taken and they came back negative.
Eaton was on the run for a Adam Rosales deep fly ball which eventually went over the fence for a two-run homer. He never saw the ball approach the fence and he crashed into a padded support pole. X-rays came back negative.
Eaton, 25, was drafted in the 19th round of the 2010 amateur draft. He has put together a great season with the White Sox batting .305 with one home run and 32 RBI's through 92 games this season. His numbers are greatly improved compared to his first two seasons in the Major League.
