By on 9/20/2014 10:15:00 AM

The Houston Astros fell to the Seattle Mariners on Friday by the score of 10-5. The loss dropped the Astros to 67-87 on the season, fourth in the American League West. Astros' pitchers walked eight and gave up four home runs in the loss. On the injury front, reliever Darin Downs left the game with oblique discomfort.

Brian McTaggart, who covers the Astros for, tweeted the following on Downs.
Downs pitched to only one batter and gave up a solo home run to Dustin Ackley.  It is uncertain how long Downs will be out, but with just eight games left in the season, he could be finished for 2014.

Downs is in his third Major League season and first with the Astros. In 45 games, he has a record of 2-1 with a 5.45 ERA. He's allowed 28 hits and walked 19 in 34 2/3 innings, while striking out 27. In 92 career games with the Tigers and Astros, Downs has a record of 4-4 with a 4.76 ERA.
