Bears Injury Report: Shea McClellin, Josh Morgan, Jeremiah Ratliff

By on 9/22/2014 08:00:00 AM

The Chicago Bears will head into a Week 3 Monday night clash against the New York Jets with a few new names on their final injury report:

Starting linebacker Shea McClellin will be inactive Monday night after sustaining a hand injury during the week. Defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff will also miss the game due to a concussion.

With cornerback Charles Tillman out for the season, Chicago's defense will be down three regular starters.

On the offensive side, starting linemen Matt Slauson and Roberto Garza will both miss their second consecutive game with ankle injuries.

Backup corner Sherrick McManis will also be out with a quad injury, leaving the Bears thin in the secondary. Reserve defensive end Trevor Scott is doubtful with a foot injury, which could have a big impact on special teams.

Fortunately for Chicago, a few other lingering injuries on defense shouldn't keep anyone else out. Defensive end Jared Allen missed practice on Thursday with a back injury but was not limited later in the week and is listed as probable.

Safety Chris Conte is also probable after suffering a shoulder injury last weekend in San Francisco.
The Bears wide receiver depth was a concern last week due to injuries, but Chicago should be at full strength this weekend. Josh Morgan is expected to play after missing Week 2 with a groin injury.

Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) are both officially listed as questionable, but both should start Sunday after playing through the same injuries last week.

Chicago put together an impressive comeback last Sunday night in San Francisco and will have a chance to move to 2-1 with consecutive road primetime wins.
