Bears Injury Update: Jared Allen, Brandon Marshall, Chris Conte

By on 9/28/2014 09:45:00 AM

The Chicago Bears are rolling right now, winners of two in a row and looking for a third straight against the struggling Green Bay Packers:

Unfortunately for Chicago, their final Injury Report for Week 4 isn’t looking too optimistic. The list contains five players that didn’t participate in practice at all this week and have been ruled out for today’s game against the Packers. The five players include: C/G Roberto Garza (Ankle), LB Shea McClellin (Hand), CB Sherrick McManis (Quadricep), NT Jeremiah Ratliff (Concussion) and finally G Matt Slauson (Ankle).

Three of the other players were listed as questionable for today’s game; each player was a DNP at practice this past week so I wouldn’t count on them being ready come tip-off. The three players include: DE Jared Allen (Illness), S Chris Conte (Shoulder) and five time Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall (Ankle).

Now for the two players that are likely to see playing time today come 1:00 PM EST at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Bears Defensive End Trevor Scott (Foot) should be ready to go after participating in full practice throughout the week; his status is currently listed as probable. The same can be said for FS Ryan Mundy (Shoulder) after being limited during Wednesday’s practice, Mundy has since appeared much healthier, participating in full practices heading into the weekend.

With a winning streak on the line, hopefully the Bears are able to take advantage of a weak Packers team and improve their record to 3 – 1.
